This page contains photos of Joseph K. Sponsky and his son and daughter-in-law.
Thomas tells us about his parents:
My dad, Joseph K. Sponsky was born Athens, Illinois on March 10,1898. He died in FT. Worth, Texas on March 6,1992. My Mother
Helen Wojnarowski Sponsky was born in Plummer, Minn. on Augest 16,1908. She died on Dec.18,1979 at Carlinville, Illinois.
They were married Sept. 5,1926 Chicago, Illinois. Mom worked at AMERICAN CAN during the prohibition era. Dad worked in the
coal mines, CCC.CAMPS, and at Ford Company in Michigan.
Note: I am currently looking for census images for Thomas's parents. I will be uploading all census images
as I find them.

In a now defunct town called Greenridge, Illinois, the Sponsky family lived while the children were young. It is
thought that Mike Sponsky may very well have worked in the Greenridge mine since it was a company mining town.
